Hi everyone,
I will be hosting an open house at the Palmer Library tomorrow catered by The Red Beet! Come for as little or as long as you like, look at and/or take some cool free maps, and enjoy some food. I hope to see you all there!! The maps are really worth having. If you absolutely can't come, but would still like the maps, please send me an email. See below for all the details.
The Matanuska Watershed Ecosystem Based Plan would like to make the following announcements:
(1) Project completion date – September 29, 2008!
What this means for you. On September 29, you can access free maps on the Matanuska watershed displaying vegetation, land status, ecological risk, public water protection, past, present, and potential industrial development, community land use, natural disturbance history, fish habitat, animal habitat, geology, and wetlands. These maps can be used as a tool to make more informed land use decisions in the Matanuska watershed.
(2) Open House
September 17, 2008 from 10:00-12:30 and 4:00-6:00 at the Palmer Library
This open house will be a fun celebration of the project and of all the wonderful community members, agencies, and other organizations that have dedicated their time participating in interviews, attending meetings or workshops, reviewing maps, or providing other valuable information to the Ecosystem Based Plan. Food will be provided! We will also be distributing copies of all of our maps and the written plan, and announcing and explaining how to access Ecosystem Based Plan documents via the internet, as well as all the possible applications of the available tools.
